ACS Georgia PATHWAY to Nationals/Vegas

ACS Georgia to Las Vegas Pathway:

 

Qualifier Cup – Midseason

Timing:                                 approximately mid season – 3 seasons a year

Team Requirements:     must have 3 players from core session team with at least 2 matches each

Fees:     $65 per team (3 person format (team cap 17); players on bench allowed; substitutions allowed per round)

Tournament Format:      Round Robin 9 ball – national format

 

Prize:

Tournament entry fees go to league payout pool

Top 3 Teams – qualify for Division Cup

  • Top Team Gets free entry into Division Cup
  • 2nd and 3rd place team receive discounted entry fees
  • If Top team does not attend Division Cup, the free entry is forfeited

Timing:                                 16th week of season (ie. Right after season ends)

Team Requirements:      must have 3 players from core session team with at least 5 matches each

Prize:

Tournament entry fees to go 1st place (2/3 of cash) and 2nd place (1/3 of cash)

Top 3 Teams – qualify for Division Cup

  • Top Team Gets free entry into Division Cup
  • 2nd and 3rd place team receive discounted entry fees
  • If Top team does not attend Division Cup, the free entry is forfeited

 

 

 

Division Cup:

All teams are welcome – Team Requirements:

  • must have 3 from core session team with at least 5 matches in the most recent season

Qualified Teams:

  • top teams of previous Qualifier tournaments Free
  • 2nd and 3rd place teams – team entry is $150

Wildcard Entry Fees/Team:  $200 (Early Entry) $250 (Within 14 days of Tournament)

  • Team cap 17
  • Substitutions allowed after each round – must maintain team cap each round

 

Prize:

Top team wins free entry to National tournament (8ball standard team).  Approximate value $325

Tournament entry fees get split between top 4 teams (40% /26% /17% /17%)

 

 

 

 

DIVISION CUP occurs 3 times a year

Timing:  approximately 4 weeks after each season ends

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Vegas Cup

Team Requirements:

  • Teams – only those that played in a Division Cup are qualified to play in the Vegas Cup.
  • After playing in a Division Cup, players then must retain 5 matches each following seasons.
  • Total 18 separate weekly matches per year to be eligible for Vegas Cup. Thus ensure your players play more than 5 in at least one of the seasons. 
  • Of course, 8 separate weekly matches in one season is a requirement for nationals.
  • Min 2 seasons of play would get a player qualified – ie. No season 3 adds that will meet eligibility.  
  • You can have 6 players max qualified for Vegas Cup (for substitutions) – but they must all meet the above requirements.

Tournament Format:     

  • Round Robin 9 ball – national format
  • Team cap 18 – note this went up as to allow for room for 1 point for players going up
  • Substitutions allowed after each round – must maintain team cap each round

 

Fees:  $200  per team (no free entry)

 

Timing:  Annually – around late Jan or Feb

 

Prize:

1st place team:

  • 2 rooms x 4 nights at hotel where National tournament is held (Approx. $1000)
  • $350 credit for airfare for up to 4 players (Approx. $1400)
  • Total Value $2400 overall.
  • Paid in Vegas to Captain from League Operator. If team doesn’t attend, it goes to 2nd place team that attends vegas.  Then 3rd.    If no team attends national tournament, money rolls over to following year for an additional team to earn the money (not 1st place receiving double).
  • National Tournament Standard (8ball) team entry fee paid – value of $325
  • Cash Prize from entry fees from this tournament
  • Assuming 10 Teams — Approximate value for 1st place team $1000

2nd place team:

  • Cash Prize from entry fees from this tournament
  • Assuming 10 Teams — Approximate value for 2nd place team $1000
  • If 1st place cannot attend vegas, 2nd place is 1st in line for vegas cash!

 

STATE TOURNAMENT:

In addition to the Vegas Cup, there is another chance to win prizes for the National Tourney.

Team Requirements: No Core Team Requirement any 3 players are qualified to play

 

Qualification Requirements:

Local requirements for winning this rebate are that 3 players on roster played at least 8 matches in S2 or S3 of 2022 and 3 matches in S1 of 2022.

Team Details:

No core requirement – players may group together – anyone from GA ACS League system

No team cap.  Team rosters follow the national rules for a team skill qualification (example a 3-person standard team may only have 1 open player on roster with 2 standard players). 

 

Prizes:

Team Registration:

Fee team entry for either Standard, Open, or Advanced you receive a rebate for the total cost of team registration less mandatory fees (greens fees/tables $75 & admin $25). 

Example:  Registering for the 3 person Standard 9 ball, the registration is around $225.  Less fees of $100.  Thus $125 rebate.

Your national registered team roster must be the roster you played with during the GA ATL State tournament with 1 roster position change allowed. 

 

Hotel:

You receive a rebate for 2 rooms for 2 weeknights at the Tropicana.  Approximately $380 value. 

Total Value – approximately $505 in discounts
