Captains communicate lineups at least a day or two in advance to ensure all players can plan their time (attend league or other life events).

Players communicate in advance when they need nights off.  Not advised to call off last minute as it impacts lineups.

Pre-play matches can be played.  Check schedule to see who you play the week you plan to be off.  Ask your captain to help set up a match for you ahead of time.  Example:  a player knows they will be traveling in the near future; inform captain; he/she checks lineup options; may ask you to play a match ahead of time.
